Looking to make an online payment? Want to check the availability of the Community Room or Park Shelters for your event?  You've come to the right place!

The City of Markesan accepts credit and debit card payments through GovPayNet, an online payment service specializing in government clients.  They provide the option of credit/debit card convenience at a minimal cost.

GovPayNet does not charge the City for this service, so resident property taxes are not used to provide this service.  Anyone who wishes to use the service pays a fee at the time of their payment.  The cost varies with the amount of your payment, but you will always know, prior to authorizing the payment what the service fee will be.

Payments can be made with any major credit, debit, or pre-paid debit card.  Please have the following information ready:  payment amount, name & address of person for whom payment is being made, account number or citation number, and service address (for utility payment).  Other types of payments may require additional information.

Most City street lights (except for a few downtown) are maintained by Alliant Energy.  Alliant has an online service where you may complete an online report with details of the outage.  Please have as much information about the location of the street light as possible.  Click on the button to go to Alliant Energy's website and report the outage.

Looking to rent the Markesan Community Room, or one of our Park Shelters, for your next event or gathering?  Check the calendar below for availability of the date you want, and then print off the application form and mail it in.  Even make payment online for the rental fee (see above)!  Please note security deposit payments CANNOT be made online.  A check is required at the time you pick up the key.

To rent the Community Room or one of the Park Shelters, please print off and complete the rental agreement below.  You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to open the file.  The calendar above is up-to-date, however, please note that rentals are made on a first come, first served basis, and the rental will not be "held" until the application and rental fee are received at City Hall.
