In 1997, Doug joined the Milwaukee Police Department, where he dedicated 25 years of service, retiring in May 2022.  Throughout his career, Doug held several long-term assignments, including six years in the Chief's Office focusing on research and policy development, and eight years as the Executive Officer of the IT Department.  In this role, he managed the Department's Body-Work Camera Program for seven years supporting over 1,200 body cameras, 350 connected squad cars and 28 interview rooms, establishing himself as a subject matter expert in the field.  Doug was also a member of several law enforcement boards and committees, contributing significantly to the profession.
